Why I love using mini bands for my golfers.

We all want those DRIVER CARRY GAINS right?

Then it's time to add this fantastic tool to your training program: the mini bands.

I love using Blackroll mini bands as part of the golf & strength warming up because it provides an effective way to activate the muscles in preparation for the golf swing or lifting. I also implement the Blackroll mini bands to stimulate & enhance the neuromuscular wiring...for teaching golfers HOW to activate the muscles. Also, such as demonstrated in this photo, the exercise is targeting the important muscles of the golfswing: the glutes aka The King and that should be a staple in any golf fitness training program.

WHY I LOVE MINI BANDS⛳️

⚪️ Super easy & light to carry with you, wherever you want to train, indoor or outdoor

⚪️ When we engage our glute muscles during the golfswing, we increase stability through the lower body and hence prevent lower back injuries

⚪️ You can increase or decrease the resistance by easily changing the bands

⚪️ The fabric feels very firm and doesn’t hurt when training in bare legs

⚪️ When applied correctly, it can be used for different training focus areas such as functional correctives, stability, mobility, recovery & even strength.

BIRDIE TIME:

@mytpi has published a study to demonstrate the effect of a dynamic warming including activation drills such as the lateral squat on drive carry and showed that it significantly increased greater clubheadspeed & carry distance with the driver.

This is a collaboration. I want you to know that I ONLY promote training supplies that I truly believe in, use myself, and use with my personal clients. And those who know me, know that I have a pretty high standard. I have been using mini bands for a long long time. With collaborations like these I genuinely hope to inspire you, provide information and increase awareness about how golfers can improve and decrease chances of overuse injuries. If you ever have any questions about how to use specific tools, please always reach out to a certified coach or myself.
